Gambia River Excursions Ltd. is described in its own material as one of the older ground operators in The Gambia, with decades of experience organising trips on and around the River Gambia.

The company operates around two key bases: Lamin Lodge in the mangroves near the Greater Banjul area and Janjanbureh Camp farther upriver. Its excursions combine river travel, wildlife, bird watching, rural experiences and visits to historical sites.
